At our company, we are committed to fostering cultural exchange and language improvement by welcoming students from various European countries. That is why we partnered with the Erasmus+ internship program.

These students come with a desire to enhance their English language skills and immerse themselves in a new cultural environment. For a few weeks at a time, we host an intern who will learn about the operations of a staffing company and gain invaluable work experience.

One of our recent interns, Hanna Ebenbichler from Austria, shares her journey with us. Check it out!

Hanna’s Internship Journey

Starting an internship in a new country can be challenging, but my experience at the company has been rewarding from day one. Finding the office was a bit tricky initially, but with the kind assistance of Deep Saini, a friendly and open staff member, I found my way. His warm welcome set the tone for my internship.

In the office I have gotten to know Jessica, a lovely person. The two told me about the company, how it was founded and how it operates. It was very interesting to see what working in another country is like. I was assigned to different tasks, from searching for new business opportunities to helping in the marketing sector, offering a diverse and engaging experience.

Meeting Memory Ndlovu, the founder of the company, was a highlight. She welcomed me in a friendly way and made me feel at ease in her company.

The tasks are very varied and challenging. Getting insights in the different assignments and working places helped me understand the company and their work.

In the following days, I got to know all the employees in the Business Administration department. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Everyday’s work starts at 9 am. At first I wrote some blog posts, which improved my writing skills. Afternoon work included tasks like composing emails or helping to search for new clients. It is not always busy, but the employees create a friendly working atmosphere so it’s not boring.

The conversations with the employees during the lunch break were also very interesting and took my speaking on a different level. I got to know some facts about Ireland and its capital, Dublin. Whenever I needed help or had a question, I could turn to anyone, and they would listen to me with an open ear and willingness to help where they could.

My workday ended between 3:30 and 4 pm with a sense of accomplishment. The company is great, the people are so friendly and welcomed me immediately. I can say that my internship was a complete success. I improved my writing and speaking in English, while I also learned something about working abroad and how life is in Ireland.
